Free Samples!

I was interested in using printerstudio.com after hearing good things on boardgamegeek and found a tiny little link to their sample request form. A week and a half later (earlier than expected) they arrived!

I was sent one of each of their sizes from biggest to smallest (somehow they didnt include a poker sized card in the 300gsm line) as well as several plastic cards.
Standard Quality. Very thick, feeling a little "homemade". Not sure how long these samples have been sitting around for, a little scuffing on a few of the cards already.

Linen Quality. Very nice thin and flexible quality. The colours are slightly muted with this finish though.

Smallest Size. Excellent for early prototyping due to cost.
Largest Size. Good to know these exist, however unlikely i am to ever use them.

Plastic Quality. Very thin cards, also very smooth. The best quality of the three but it's something of an 'alien' feel when you're used to papery/linen cards in games.

Comparison of Linen Quality, very similar to Forbidden Island.

Standard Quality falls short of Flux or Bohnanza. Love Letter and Agricola are in a different league entirely.

Plastic Card Quality is excellent, not far off Bicycle Playing cards, but prohibitively expensive.
